yesterday i fell asleep and had a dream
that i (abby) was sitting on the red-carpeted floor of some restaurant having a heart-to-heart conversation with travis barker. we were just talking about music and such. he told me that battery city was a great band name (fuck yes). his drum set was right there, so he showed me everything. he taught me how to make each drum sound with my mouth (i’ve always struggled with that). he had a mini keyboard in the middle and he started playing the guitar riff to stay together for the kids and i sang along. it seriously felt so real. when i woke up, (after a moment of complete disapointment that it wasn’t real), i found the strongest motivation to finish the album. so that night, (it was an afternoon nap) i tracked vocals for another song. that only leaves one! also, i just had an epiphany regarding album artwork and we’ll be shooting it tomorrow (since holland’s at a birthday party right now haha). everything is coming together it seems. thanks travis barker!
